This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Your role involves assisting the Finance, Accounting, & Analytics team in managing all financial transactions and generating monthly financial reports to ensure accountability and aid management decision-making.
• The company’s capability to successfully complete a financial audit will measure accuracy, while timeliness will be evaluated based on the FAA team producing financial and ad hoc management reports and analytics by the 15th of every month.
• Review bank reconciliations and finalize month-end bank reconciliations for corporate and pop-up property entities.
• Oversee the month-end close process and assess revenue reconciliations.
• Invoice properties for payroll and operational expense reimbursements.
• Enter payroll data in QuickBooks and verify that payroll allocations are accurate for each property.
• Manage Fixed Asset accounting for the organization.
• Conduct initial quality control reviews.
• Analyze the general ledger for potential accruals and collaborate with other departments to calculate accruals.
• Maintain and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including year-to-year rollforwards.
• Supervise RE filings.
• Prepare lender reports and finalize packages.
• Assist with annual projects such as budget preparation and calculating bonuses/commissions.
• Conduct monthly profit and loss calls with operations and properties.
• Support the annual audit and tax processes by preparing PBC schedules and year-end tax workpapers.
• Take charge of T-6 budgets.
• Develop standard operating procedures for all FAA processes you are involved in.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Over 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and other contemporary ERP accounting applications.
• Experience in the real estate or hospitality sectors is preferred.
• Understanding of US GAAP principles along with demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation and accounting standards.
• Knowledge of Federal and State tax regulations.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a readiness to tackle challenges.
• Ability to adjust to evolving circumstances and priorities.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaborating within teams.
• Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
• A consummate professional with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
