Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure precise accounting records by documenting, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions.

• Prepare and post journal entries to facilitate the month-end closing process.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations for designated general ledger accounts.

• Evaluate customer orders and contracts, generate invoices, and guarantee prompt delivery to clients.

• Process incoming payments, reconcile with accounts receivable, and record transactions accordingly.

• Execute revenue recognition and reconcile deferred revenue balances in line with US GAAP standards.

• Oversee collection activities for overdue accounts and assist in resolving outstanding issues.

• Aid external auditors during both interim and annual audit processes.

• Prepare schedules, documentation, and supporting materials as necessary.

• Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready financial documentation.

• Engage in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives for process improvements.

• Calculate sales commissions, secure necessary approvals, and prepare statements for employees.

• Collaborate with team members for cross-training and provide backup support as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

• Strong comprehension of US GAAP and standard accounting practices.

• Familiarity with accounting and business software such as Sage Intacct, Zoho, HubSpot, Ramp, or similar tools.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
