This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Conducts month-end closing procedures, which include journal entries, reconciliations, and various General Ledger activities.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and identifies as well as resolves discrepancies.
• Executes data entry and manages account clearing tasks.
• Processes bi-weekly payroll with an emphasis on accuracy in timesheets, leave calculations, and salary adjustments.
• Collaborates across departments to address inquiries related to financial data and posts correcting entries in compliance with GAAP and internal account definitions.
• Conducts accounting research and prepares documentation on emerging accounting topics.
• Prepares supporting documents for tax filings, audits, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Analyzes financial data to provide insights to management and ensure material accuracy.
• Produces custom and ad hoc reports as requested by management.
• Identifies issues and brings inconsistencies to management's attention, taking ownership to drive the development and implementation of solutions.
• Actively seeks prioritization guidance from senior accountants and managers to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Maintains awareness of all activities and issues that could affect daily operations and service levels.
• Proposes and assists in developing and implementing workflow enhancements within their area.
• Possesses a solid understanding of internal controls related to accounting and reporting, ensuring adequate internal controls are in place and collaborating with other teams on processes impacting accounting.
• Exhibits excellent time management skills and effectively prioritizes competing responsibilities with minimal oversight, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
• Assists with the annual external audit process, including creating timelines and communicating significant audit matters to the team.
• Actively seeks and pursues opportunities for process enhancement.
• Serves as backup support for other team members.
• Regular and predictable attendance is a fundamental aspect of this position.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience: 7-10+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and not-for-profit healthcare is preferred.
