Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee month-end closing processes, encompassing revenue recognition, prepaid expenses, accruals, and management reporting.

• Rapidly assimilate existing operational accounting procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and scale these processes.

• Propel the implementation of new ERP software to elevate and streamline accounting operations.

• Build upon our current data reporting framework to track financial data for discrepancies and enhance the precision of our reports.

• Engage in ad hoc initiatives, system integrations, and reporting requirements as necessary.

• Collaborate closely with the team to ensure accounting policies and procedures meet professional, audit, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• 3-6 years of experience in accounting and finance.

• At least 4 years in a startup or a high-paced accounting setting.

• Proficient in advanced Excel skills (comfortable with any formula).

• Strong operational accounting foundation with an eagerness to design interconnected processes and systems.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of swiftly adapting to shifting priorities.

• An inquisitive nature to understand data and extract insights from it.

• A strong sense of ownership with a proactive approach to action.

• Confident in voicing ideas, sharing insights, and influencing across teams.

• Experience with AI tools in accounting or finance workflows.

• Bonus Points: CPA or other accounting certifications.

• Experience within a startup environment.

• Proficient in SQL with familiarity in BI tools.
