Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements along with accompanying documentation.

• Record intricate journal entry transactions.

• Aid in the financial closing process while conducting month-end close analysis and research.

• Analyze monthly financial results against budget and provide variance analytics.

• Oversee monthly market billing, including the preparation, review, and distribution of invoices.

• Supervise accounts receivable, collections, customer follow-ups, aging analysis, and resolution of billing discrepancies.

• Prepare and maintain financial reporting and documentation related to grants.

• Act as the main accounting liaison for government entities and funding partners.

• Collaborate with operational teams and government partners on billing, revenue recognition, grant compliance, and financial issues.

• Work with the Revenue Cycle to ensure precise monthly revenue accounting and maintain accounts receivable reconciliations.

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts following best practices and internal controls.

• Assist with annual financial statement audits.

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial systems, processes, and data by maintaining systems and controls.

• Prioritize work effectively to manage daily tasks and heavy workloads.

• Serve as a point of reference for Staff Accountants on complex issues.

• Uphold the confidentiality of employee and financial information.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, and general ledger systems.

• Adherence to a mandatory vaccination policy: successful candidates must be fully vaccinated with documentation or exempt via the Company's exemption process prior to starting.

• Remote work is limited to residents in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• 5 years of experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.

• Experience in healthcare finance is preferred.
