This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +11 more states.
• Oversee and manage month-end closing processes to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.
• Prepare intricate journal entries and perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Handle consolidations, allocations, and eliminations across multiple entities.
• Maintain the schedule for fixed assets, which includes capitalization, depreciation, and tracking.
• Assist external audits by providing schedules, documentation, and necessary responses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and deliver insights to support decision-making.
• Guide and mentor junior staff members, promoting team development and knowledge exchange.
• Recognize and implement process enhancements to optimize operations and improve efficiency.
• Experience in the Payments Industry is mandatory.
• 3-5+ years in a comparable role is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in leading month-end closing activities and preparing journal entries.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communicator who works well with diverse teams.
• Leadership-oriented with the capability to mentor and support junior staff.
• A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to driving improvements.
