This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Act as the primary financial and accounting partner for the on-site management team at Monster Transmission.
• Oversee Monster’s month-end closing process, which includes journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparatory schedules.
• Generate financial statements and evaluate results in comparison to budgets, forecasts, and previous periods.
• Document daily cash deposits and reconcile transactions related to cash and credit cards.
• Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts and general ledger entries.
• Provide insights to management regarding revenue, gross margin, labor costs, inventory, expenses, and other key financial metrics.
• Assist the Controller and CFO during audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and ready for review.
• Facilitate budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and capital expenditure assessments.
• Supervise inventory management and cost-accounting tasks, including cost analysis, reserves, variances, and inventory reconciliations.
• Track accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and other transaction processing activities.
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place and that the company adheres to accounting standards and policies.
• Assist with audits, tax compliance, financial system enhancements, and ERP integration projects.
• Identify opportunities to enhance, standardize, and automate accounting processes.
• Work collaboratively with the broader finance team at Burnout Brands on reporting and special initiatives.
• Fulfill other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficient understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial processes in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and essential accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; familiarity with Infor SyteLine is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in analyzing and organizing extensive financial data.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA credentials is preferred.
• Prior experience in roles such as senior accountant, assistant controller, plant accountant, or similar positions is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting businesses in manufacturing, automotive, distribution, or e-commerce sectors is advantageous.
• Experience managing multiple locations, business units, or legal entities is a plus.
