• Oversee and maintain daily general ledger entries for all group entities.
• Assist local accountants in preparing monthly VAT returns and help coordinate tax filings for 8 international entities.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
• Support the Financial Controller during month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Conduct multi-currency bank reconciliations and post intercompany transactions.
• Aid the sales team with client invoicing by preparing, reviewing, and accurately issuing invoices.
• Act as a point of contact for client billing inquiries, resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain well-organized and audit-ready financial records across all entities.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation for external auditors.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of accounting workflows and systems.
• Execute the group's payment cycles using Payhawk, Wise, and other banking providers.
• Process payroll, local property host payments, vendor invoices, and customer reimbursements; ensure all payments have the necessary approval documentation and supporting materials prior to final approval submission.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable; follow up on outstanding items and maintain clean aged balances.
• Support local accountants with monthly VAT returns and tax filings; coordinate the flow of documentation between local advisors and the Controller.
• Contribute to the documentation of payment SOPs, controls, and recurring workflows; assist in operationalizing improvements identified by the Controller.
• Maintain audit-ready records and aid with information requests from external auditors.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or international setting.
• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent in progress).
• Strong grasp of VAT regulations and tax compliance across various jurisdictions.
• Practical experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero is a plus).
• Confident handling multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange postings.
• Excellent attention to detail and dedication to accuracy in high-volume environments.
• Good communication skills: capable of liaising professionally with clients and internal teams.
• Self-sufficient and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities from a remote setting.
• Experience supporting a sales team with invoicing or billing processes is a plus.
