This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Assist the Head of Finance with the monthly closing process, ensuring that journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and record journal entries, including prepaid expenses and other adjusting entries in the general ledger.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations, covering cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and liabilities.
• Generate monthly budget-to-actual reports along with variance analyses and management commentary.
• Aid in the preparation of quarterly financial presentations and management reports.
• Oversee the administration of the company’s Ramp corporate card program, including issuance, setting limits, and deactivation processes.
• Review, categorize, and classify transactions across various departments, classes, projects, and general ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with expense policies and the timely submission of receipts.
• Manage, prioritize, and process Finance-related purchase requests through Jira.
• Verify payroll entries for accuracy.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining payroll tax accounts across multiple U.S. states.
• Maintain documentation for Form 1099 filings and ensure compliance with IRS receipt requirements.
• Support audit readiness by keeping well-organized workpapers.
• Monitor project-level costs and ensure proper expense allocation among departments or projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain the integrity of systems across QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Tipalti, and associated platforms.
• Develop and uphold internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and accounting workflows.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on month-end closing responsibilities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Project Accounting, and U.S. GAAP is essential.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
• Strong background in account reconciliations and month-end closing processes.
• Previous experience managing corporate credit card programs, purchase requisitions, and expense classification is preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.
