Senior Accountant

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

• Maintain the general ledger while ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.

• Supervise revenue recognition processes to ensure alignment with ASC 606.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows and automate manual processes.

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies.

• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to validate revenue and expenses.

• Communicate effectively and proactively in a remote-first setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 4–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms).

• Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

• CPA or CPA-track designation is preferred.

• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred.

• Background in SaaS, ad-tech, or tech-driven companies is preferred.

• Familiarity with automated AP/AR tools, CRM integrations, or BI dashboards is preferred.
