This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Director of Accounting.
• Manage month-end closing activities, bank reconciliations, revenue recognition, and various accounting reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, detailed analyses, and account reconciliations.
• Execute month-end closing in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts, Unbilled Revenue, and Deferred Revenue.
• Analyze profit margins and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Support the Director of Accounting with monthly tasks and special projects.
• Utilize a conceptual understanding of US GAAP and IFRS in accounting duties.
• Aid in the preparation and testing for financial audits.
• Ensure adequate internal controls are maintained over financial processes.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
• Bachelor’s degree focused on Accounting.
• An active CPA license is mandatory.
• Over 5 years of pertinent accounting experience, ideally in a multi-company setting.
• Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Relevant accounting experience in technology-centric industries such as Software, IT, SaaS, or Shared Services.
• Strong accounting and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Workday experience is a plus.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a sense of urgency in a dynamic technology environment.
• Self-motivated individual capable of quickly learning new accounting systems with little supervision.
• Solid understanding of month-end closing processes.
• Practical knowledge of profit margins and COGS analysis.
• Conceptual understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
