This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of customer strategy by defining clear priorities, growth levers, and target markets.
• Discover and develop high-impact initiatives that enhance both the Freshpet brand and the overall fresh pet food sector.
• Create annual and quarterly strategic plans based on category trends, shopper insights, and retailer dynamics.
• Convert complex data into straightforward insights and actionable growth strategies.
• Establish and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers across national and regional specialty retailers.
• Serve as a thought partner to customers, offering a clear, insight-driven perspective on category growth, assortment, and merchandising.
• Lead joint business planning efforts, ensuring alignment on shared priorities, growth targets, and execution plans.
• Influence customer strategies to uncover incremental opportunities and enhance Freshpet’s role within the category.
• Manage revenue, distribution, and ACV performance across assigned accounts with full accountability for outcomes.
• Identify and prioritize the most impactful opportunities to broaden distribution, optimize assortment, and strengthen in-store presence.
• Track performance trends, recognize risks and opportunities, and adjust strategies in real-time to remain ahead of plan.
• Ensure effective execution of key initiatives, including new item launches and in-store programming.
• Utilize data and analytics to assess performance, reveal insights, and guide decision-making.
• Quickly synthesize various data sources into clear and concise recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align on forecasting, planning, and performance tracking.
• Foster a strong test-and-learn mentality to continuously enhance results.
• Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations to ensure strategies are aligned and can be executed effectively.
• Align assortment, merchandising, and activation plans with broader brand and channel strategies.
• Ensure effective coordination with distributor partners to drive consistent execution and expanded reach.
• Advocate for best practices and enhance overall specialty channel capabilities.
• Assist in the development of account-level forecasts, trade planning, and investment strategies.
• Monitor performance against financial targets and identify actions to close gaps or accelerate growth.
• Balance growth opportunities with ROI discipline to foster sustainable, profitable performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in pet or CPG sales or account management.
• Proven track record in developing and executing strategic growth plans that yield measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into clear insights and actions.
• Demonstrated success in building and influencing effective retail partnerships.
• Strong commercial awareness regarding category, customer, and shopper dynamics.
• Agility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to influence across various levels and functions.
