• Efficiently and autonomously handle customer service responsibilities for a portfolio generating a minimum of $750,000 in commission income, ensuring compliance with departmental service standards.
• Collaborate with the producer to create a service plan for major accounts and oversee its implementation as necessary.
• Support management in onboarding and training new team members within the department.
• Oversee the setup of files and quotes for groups with over 50 lives.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of all group product plan designs and rating procedures for a portfolio exceeding $750,000 in commission income.
• Aid producers in developing enrollment materials and presentations, and participate in client meetings and benefit fairs.
• Deliver account servicing, which includes utilizing standard proposals, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assess policies upon receipt in line with agency procedures to ensure timely customer service.
• Examine all applications and policies for accuracy and completeness, actively fulfilling all carrier requirements for policy implementation.
• Provide support and input directly into the sales process for quotes across all product lines.
• Manage the renewal process according to agency protocols; assist producers in negotiating the most beneficial renewal terms and conditions for clients; review quotes and prepare proposals.
• Quickly address customer inquiries and requests for assistance.
• Relay all pertinent information to producers, clients, carriers, and other agency team members involved in account servicing.
• Maintain the electronic account file and effectively use the capabilities of the agency management system in daily tasks.
• Prioritize tasks to consistently achieve objectives, seeking management support when necessary.
• Conduct quality reviews as requested by management and adhere to the standards of quality programs.
• Follow agency and departmental procedures as outlined by management.
• Establish and sustain effective working relationships with clients to enhance business retention.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with insurance company representatives.
• Ensure confidentiality is upheld in the collection, maintenance, and sharing of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Stay informed and enhance technical knowledge through newsletters, bulletins, seminars, trade publications, or other educational opportunities.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
• Undertake any other special projects and duties as assigned.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in Employee Benefit Account Management.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Nebraska Life, Sickness, Accident, and Health Agent’s license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of self-funded groups, including self-funding concepts, markets, and procedures.
• Familiarity with carrier rating and underwriting procedures.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and all agency automation software.
• Proficient in departmental workflows and procedures.
