This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Bring a network of contacts from investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities throughout North America.
• Build and maintain sustainable long-term relationships by delivering mutually beneficial business solutions to utility clients in the US.
• Generate new leads for potential utility clients and communicate regional priorities.
• Manage critical relationships with utility leaders, including executives and team leaders focused on grid modernization, transmission and distribution infrastructure inspections, asset and vegetation management, grid planning, and operations teams.
• Participate in and present at selected trade shows and conferences.
• Prepare formal project proposals, develop presentation materials, and other relevant tools.
• Comprehend utility needs and challenges. Facilitate deployment scoping with utilities to balance stakeholder requirements, both internally and externally, and finalize agreements that achieve both scale and swift execution.
• Negotiate contracts through to final execution.
• Ensure that business operations are conducted with integrity at all times.
• Utilize indirect influence to maintain efficient and timely progress on projects.
• Assist the project manager in transitioning new contracts into implementation smoothly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and co-founders on enhancing sales processes, product development, regulatory and policy objectives, and competitive analysis.
• Possess knowledge in sales of B2B, SaaS products to enterprise clients (Experience in the energy sector is highly recommended, but not mandatory).
• Mentor SDRs on lead nurturing to strengthen the sales pipeline.
• Maintain Hubspot and keep management and other key stakeholders informed about sales activities and pipeline status.
• Surpass sales targets by creating and executing a robust pipeline of investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities.
• 5+ years of full-time experience directly working with electric utilities.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience in engineering, business, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Significant domain knowledge through industry experience in one or several of the following areas: Power Grids, Power Systems, Energy Markets, T&D assets and operations, Grid Planning and Operations, Grid Modernization, Grid Reliability.
• Proven track record of empathy, personal initiative, a spirit of inquiry, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under time constraints.
• Capability to collaborate with diverse teams and translate between different areas of expertise.
• Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks in response to immediate customer demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commendable work ethic.
• Proficiency with remote collaboration tools. Travel may be required when necessary.
