This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Create and execute detailed sales strategies aimed at growing and managing a business portfolio, with the goal of fostering profitable expansion.
• Take ownership of the designated territory, focusing on business development, utilizing performance metrics to formulate annual plans and oversee territorial performance.
• Perform comprehensive agency diagnostics to evaluate performance and pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Facilitate agency appointments and cultivate long-lasting relationships through both in-person and virtual office visits.
• Identify, onboard, and establish performance goals for new agencies, while offering training and ongoing support.
• Persuade agency partners through effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Underwriting, to ensure sales strategies align with business objectives.
• Comprehend Travelers Enterprise focus and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell Travelers products by engaging with business partners in other lines.
• Gain insights into competitor products, capabilities, and local market trends.
• Employ advanced data and analytics for sales decisions and performance evaluation, leveraging extensive knowledge of Travelers' systems and platforms to enhance the sales process.
• Utilize AI technologies to refine industry processes, improve decision-making, and foster innovation, while continuously learning and adapting to emerging AI trends and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of four years of experience in insurance sales or a related field, managing a book of business, driving substantial sales growth, achieving sales targets, conducting agency diagnostics, and utilizing digital sales tools.
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) (or a willingness to pursue certification).
• In-depth knowledge of Travelers products and the general Property & Casualty marketplace.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills to motivate agency partners to adopt Travelers products and services.
• Demonstrated ability to collaboratively establish and maintain relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to define objectives and priorities, meeting these goals in a timely manner.
• Exceptional organizational skills to handle complex tasks and priorities effectively, ensuring sales goals and deadlines are met.
