
Senior Account Executive – SLED

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement strategic sales initiatives aimed at State, Local Government, and Education accounts.
• Establish and nurture relationships with procurement teams, purchasing departments, IT leaders, fleet/operations stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
• Oversee intricate enterprise sales cycles involving RFPs, RFQs, cooperative purchasing agreements, and contract negotiations.
• Discover opportunities for new business development while enhancing existing customer relationships.
• Comprehend customer operational requirements and present solutions that meet procurement needs and long-term goals.
• Collaborate across functions with marketing, customer success, operations, and leadership teams to facilitate account growth.
• Ensure precise forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM activity monitoring.
• Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events pertinent to SLED markets.
• Remain updated on government procurement trends, compliance standards, and purchasing vehicles.
• A minimum of 3 years of direct SLED sales experience in enterprise or technology-driven environments.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex enterprise sales opportunities and meeting quota targets.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Government and education procurement processes
• Cooperative purchasing contracts and purchasing vehicles
• RFP/RFQ response procedures
• Enterprise account management
• Experience selling to:
• State agencies
• Local municipalities
• K-12 or Higher Education institutions
• Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Capability to develop trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or comparable tools.
• Background in SaaS, technology, fleet, public sector, or enterprise solutions sales.
• Established network within SLED organizations and procurement channels.
• Knowledge of NASPO, Sourcewell, OMNIA, BuyBoard, or other cooperative purchasing programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field.
