
Senior Account Executive – Industry Service Providers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Drive the sales of software, solutions, and services to both existing and potential customers by capitalizing on sales opportunities to acquire, expand, and maintain accounts within your designated territory.
• Engage in prospecting within assigned accounts to identify business needs, qualify potential opportunities, and ascertain the necessary resources for success.
• Execute territory and account management strategies by pinpointing high-potential accounts, progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, and predicting timelines for closing deals.
• Collaborate with pre-sales resources, virtual sales teams, account managers, and executives to guarantee prompt responses to qualified, high-revenue leads and to facilitate strategic account development.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts while working cross-functionally to finalize agreements and establish delivery timelines.
• Follow up with clients to gauge satisfaction, identify additional revenue opportunities, and foster ongoing relationships.
• Utilize company account planning tools and sales methodologies (such as BASE or Strategic Selling) for effective pipeline management, forecasting, and pinpointing accounts with a strong likelihood of closure.
• Leverage knowledge of company marketing objectives, industry trends, and SAS applications to evaluate account needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Create and implement action plans to secure business from high-potential accounts and enhance relationships within the territory.
• Exhibit curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability.
• A bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, MIS, or another relevant field.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in sales, marketing, or technical support for computer software solutions (including related training products and services), computer hardware, or telecommunications software/hardware is required.
• Specific experience in selling technology solutions to the life sciences sector is essential.
• Experience in sales within the life sciences industry is necessary.
• A focus on R&D is preferred, although experience in manufacturing and/or commercial sectors is also beneficial.
• A seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of the area of specialization; capable of creatively resolving a wide range of issues.
• Works on diverse problems where data analysis necessitates the evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Shows good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Networks with senior internal and external personnel in their area of expertise.
• Familiarity with fundamental sales techniques; understanding of hardware and/or software acquisition cycles and buying influences.
• Ability to analyze and assess territory dynamics and formulate a sales plan; skill in communicating technical and business concepts and relating them to SAS applications and user needs; capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
