This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serves as the primary liaison for major accounts, regardless of their geographic location.
• Maintains high-level executive communication with accounts, emphasizing the strategic nature of the relationship.
• Promotes and sells the company's products or services while managing relationships with established national named accounts.
• Accountable for the rapid growth and retention of named accounts, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Identifies and qualifies both long-term and short-term business opportunities while actively addressing competitive threats.
• Prepares formal proposals and presentations, engaging with all organizational levels, including executives, leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making processes, overcoming objections, and closing sales professionally and effectively.
• Responsible for the management and development of significant key partner relationships.
• Facilitates executive-level relationships among the customer, F5, and its partners, ensuring effective communication on strategic and tactical issues while maintaining continuity.
• Keeps abreast of industry trends, technical advancements, and government regulations that impact target markets.
• Understands the business needs of the organization, develops applications for products and services, and communicates how F5's technical solutions can meet those needs.
• Researches and compiles lists of potential customers within an organization; follows up on leads, develops opportunities, and takes action to close deals.
• Defines market strategies and objectives for each product and service, understanding the strategies, goals, and objectives of named accounts.
• Takes a leadership role in coordinating account strategy and tactics for the sales support team (inside sales, systems engineering, sales management).
• Takes full responsibility for accurate sales forecasting by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of sales cycles from initial contact through the procurement process, ensuring Salesforce is used appropriately and maintained regularly.
• Develops and maintains detailed account profiles, including interpersonal charts for all accounts, to be reviewed by management quarterly.
• Creates strategies for sustainable management and success of business while coordinating resources to ensure goals are achieved.
• Collaborates with internal and external teams and channels to devise creative technical solutions that enhance F5's footprint and customer dependence within accounts.
• Duties require the ability to travel up to 50% by automobile and airplane, and may involve being on call periodically and working outside of normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
• Over 8 years of direct experience in a relevant account management environment.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
• Strong solution selling and presentation capabilities.
• Advanced client interfacing with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent influencing skills.
• Proven sales skills in a complex matrix environment.
• Effectively utilizes internal relationships and resources.
• Strong ability to manage time, prioritize workload, and develop and lead pipeline and forecasting efforts.
• Ability to work from a home office located within the territory.
• Requires specialized knowledge in networking products, preferably those of F5.
• Experience with Internet-related software or systems.
