• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, which includes participating in trade shows, conducting research through publications and online resources, engaging with various organizations, and performing cold calls, among other activities.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy sector, including its structure, opportunities, trends, and challenges.
• Build and maintain productive business relationships while effectively communicating the full range of solutions to align with customer objectives and achieve sales targets, volume, and market share.
• Establish open communication channels with customers to assess their needs and concerns, ensuring that our solutions align with their goals.
• Adhere to standards for activities and outcomes, such as the number of initial calls made, letters of authorization or intent acquired, sales figures, and ultimately, gross margin dollar targets.
• Create and deliver professional proposals that address all customer needs and concerns, including a financial proposal.
• Maintain customer communication throughout the installation phase to address any additional needs or issues that may arise.
• Track account plan progress, including market conditions, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of industry experience in selling large-scale solutions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven expertise in effective sales negotiation and closing techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to draft and write proposals, reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Capability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
