This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Promote a product with the aim to meet or surpass sales targets in community/private practices as well as hospitals and health systems.
• Identify and uncover customer needs related to training, clinical aspects, operational matters, and reimbursement, addressing these needs with suitable AbbVie resources.
• Deliver expert anatomical and procedural information and training, utilizing appropriate anatomical terminology to instruct on injection paradigms and postures while emphasizing various anatomical insights and injection considerations.
• Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other essential hospital personnel.
• Collaborate with fellow Account Specialists to promote the product for approved indications and conduct individual, departmental, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital and health system accounts.
• Adhere to all company policies, submit required reports and requests, ensure promotional compliance, and effectively manage AbbVie field assets.
• Utilize AbbVie's sales and data resources effectively to enhance productivity and foster growth of AbbVie products while implementing the U.S. Marketing Plan.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least five (5) years of technical experience with three (3) or more years within a sales role is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required if relevant industry experience is in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• A documented record of strong sales performance, preferably in a clinical, technical, or consultative sales role involving multiple decision makers, is preferred.
• Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, in both health systems and private practices.
• A valid driver’s license is required; the candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to manage a complex sales process, quickly learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information, and effectively communicate, present, and train diverse audiences.
• Ability to lift or pull training models weighing between 25-100 lbs. and meet required hospital credentialing and vaccination standards.
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover the territory, as well as attend overnight scheduled training events and sales meetings.
