This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Develop, pitch, and create content focused on the latest national, international, and sports news stories.
• Produce engaging segments that support both daily shows and special programming initiatives.
• Deliver high-priority packages quickly while ensuring production quality and adhering to editorial standards.
• Write scripts and collaborate with Senior Producers to enhance segment elements, ensuring they meet quality and timing expectations.
• Work alongside talent, editors, producers, and production teams to coordinate graphics, video, sound, and other live-segment elements.
• Organize and manage all creative components necessary for the execution of assigned segments.
• Design banners and supplementary graphic elements.
• Identify and propose story ideas, potential guests, and interview opportunities.
• Monitor news, sports, and social media trends to uncover relevant content opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcast Production, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in television news, sports programming, or live broadcast production in a role such as Line Producer or Segment Producer.
• Proven experience in pitching, developing, and producing live reporter packages and guest segments.
• Demonstrated ability in writing and producing content for live television broadcasts.
• Strong knowledge of broadcast production workflows and newsroom operations.
• Experience working effectively under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with computers, broadcast systems, production tools, and video conferencing technology.
• Flexibility in scheduling, with the potential for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special event coverage as needed.
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment capabilities.
• Ability to generate and pitch story ideas while securing compelling guests.
• Proficiency in overseeing and coordinating creative elements that support live segments.
• Strong instincts for visual storytelling and experience in identifying impactful video and graphic elements.
• Solid background in social media and understanding of digital audience engagement.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Effective leadership abilities and capacity to work with diverse teams and communities.
• Proven skills in time management, organization, and multitasking.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting daily deadlines.
