This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Assist in the creation, development, revision, and implementation of security training curricula, lesson plans, instructor guides, and associated materials.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions across various locations and time zones.
• Maintain yearly training calendars while coordinating instructors, facilities, ranges, equipment, and logistics.
• Deliver both in-person and remote training sessions focusing on firearms proficiency, defensive tactics, verbal de-escalation, and report writing.
• Support the certification and recertification processes.
• Conduct practical exercises, scenario-based training, tabletop exercises, and performance evaluations.
• Keep centralized training documentation, licenses, certifications, schedules, and reports organized.
• Maintain precise records for over 110 security and weapons licenses, 26 state licenses, certifications, schedules, and reports.
• Develop and implement document templates, style guides, and version-control protocols.
• Ensure that training records are audit-ready and comply with client, regulatory, and quality-assurance standards.
• Arrange travel and monitor training expenditures and resource utilization within approved budgets.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through site audits and perform compliance audits.
• Act as a liaison between program management and site security teams.
• Identify training gaps and propose corrective actions.
• Provide on-site support during new site mobilizations, contract transitions, and regional training events.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
• Certified instructor in firearms, defensive tactics, and/or de-escalation, such as POST, NRA Law Enforcement, or PPCT.
• Experience in managing multi-site training programs and coordinating schedules across time zones.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and training record management systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in preparing lesson plans, reports, SOPs, and training documentation.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and training management systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% and work flexible hours as necessary.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Preferred: experience supporting enterprise-level corporate security programs.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Preferred: familiarity with private security contracts, government, and military standards.
• Preferred: experience with LMS and online training platforms.
• Preferred: familiarity with state licensing requirements for armed security personnel across multiple jurisdictions.
