Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Conduct Security Reviews for internal projects, business initiatives, and technological changes.

• Perform Vendor Security Assessments and assist with third-party risk management activities.

• Engage in Security by Design reviews by pinpointing security risks and establishing security requirements early in the project lifecycle.

• Create, review, and sustain security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance documentation.

• Aid Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiatives, encompassing risk assessments, control implementation, and enhancements to security processes.

• Organize, coordinate, and continuously enhance Security Awareness initiatives, including employee training and phishing simulation campaigns.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of security awareness efforts through reporting, metrics, and suggestions for improvement.

• Support the Security Disciplinary Framework and other governance-related procedures.

• Discover opportunities to automate and streamline Security GRC processes, reporting, and operational workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance the organization's overall security posture and security maturity.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in Information Security, Security GRC, IT Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Security Operations, or a similar field.

• Experience in conducting security assessments, security reviews, or vendor security evaluations.

• Background in developing security policies, standards, procedures, or governance documentation.

• Experience in planning or supporting Security Awareness programs, phishing simulations, or security training initiatives.

• Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools.

• Basic skills in scripting or workflow automation.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, or similar collaboration platforms.

• Awareness of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to enhance documentation, research, and operational efficiency.
