This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and execute security and anti-abuse features within the core product.
• Collaborate with the Trust & Safety Software Engineering Team on various projects, strategies, and problem-solving efforts.
• Participate in and lead code reviews focused on security-related features.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of machine learning models by collecting and preparing training data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch features equipped with strong anti-abuse and security measures.
• Address and investigate security incidents and abuse reports.
• Keep updated on security threats and anti-abuse methodologies.
• Integrate third-party solutions or products into production systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Capability for abstract thinking and managing poorly defined threats.
• Passion for addressing challenging problems.
• Hacker mentality with the ability to think like a malicious actor.
• Comprehensive understanding of computer networking, encompassing subnetting, DNS, and HTTP/S protocols.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as WAF rules, Cloudflare, RECAPTCHA, and other anti-abuse systems.
• Acquainted with threat feeds and intelligence.
• Experience with enterprise fraud, security, or KYC tools.
• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or comparable MVC backend frameworks.
• Experience with contemporary test frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Selenium, or RSpec.
• Strong understanding of full-stack web architectures and the behavior of production systems.
• Demonstrated technical judgment and a history of system ownership over time.
• Quality-driven mindset balanced with pragmatism and focus on delivery.

• Ability to adapt, take a proactive approach, and manage multiple priorities.
