Security Service Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Serves as “the best service provider for our customers” at all times, ensuring that Convergint remains the preferred choice for service.

• Responds promptly to routine and some non-routine customer service inquiries, scheduled maintenance calls, as well as emergency and after-hours service requests.

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces defective components, and resolves routine system issues.

• Installs projects as needed.

• Produces accurate and comprehensive service reports for both customers and Convergint in a timely manner to facilitate precise invoicing and job cost tracking.

• May offer custom systems integrations, detailed planning and execution of systems upgrades, systems audits and consultations, and/or database management and manipulation.

• Conducts all service calls in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, along with company health and safety policies and procedures.

• Primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance on installed systems that are generally less complex.

• Undertakes additional duties and responsibilities as requested or required.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: electronics, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.

• Developing strong customer focus and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Growing technical skills and experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.

• Capability to develop basic programming skills along with a proven ability to troubleshoot issues and seek solutions.

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
