Security Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily security operations workflows involving ESD, Ascent, and internal partners, including triage, escalation, and follow-up.

• Organize incident response efforts, uphold playbooks, and ensure documentation of evidence, timelines, and decisions.

• Monitor and document vulnerability findings, penetration test outcomes, and CTEM actions from remediation to retesting and closure.

• Analyze security metrics and generate regular reports on cases, remediation status, exceptions, and control performance.

• Facilitate operational transitions between Tier 1 intake, SOC escalation, engineering remediation, and business stakeholders.

• Assist in audits and customer assurance inquiries by gathering evidence, verifying control execution, and maintaining thorough documentation.

• Detect process deficiencies and implement enhancements to reinforce security operations, service quality, and response preparedness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, or similar operational security roles.

• Experience collaborating with MSSP, MDR, SOC, SIEM, or managed detection partners within a co-managed operating framework.

• Knowledge of security case management, playbooks, ticketing workflows, and escalation processes in a dynamic IT services environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Sentinel, endpoint telemetry platforms such as CrowdStrike, and general logging or alert triage methodologies.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities, capable of ensuring alignment among technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding actions and statuses.

• Capacity to handle conflicting priorities, drive remediation to completion, and uphold meticulous documentation and follow-up.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• Security+, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, or comparable certification is preferred.
