Security Implementation Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service to Logically's client base

• Oversee open tickets and projects, ensuring the completion of technical and operational tasks

• Implement firewall setups and upgrades for SonicWall, Fortinet, and various other network security platforms

• Deploy and configure SentinelOne and Huntress endpoint security solutions

• Install and set up Linux-based log collectors for SIEM integration, which includes syslog forwarding and data collection

• Configure NAT policies, security protocols, client-based and site-to-site VPNs, along with security services

• Conduct firmware upgrades and deploy security patches

• Install, configure, and maintain network security services, equipment, and devices

• Carry out post-deployment validation testing

• Document implementation processes, configuration baselines, and deployment notes

• Contribute to both customer-facing and internal deployment documentation and knowledge base articles

• Maintain an individual ticket queue

• Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate non-standard issues

• Participate in training related to security platforms and deployment methodologies

• Provide tier 1 support, administrative tasks, and project-related duties as necessary

• Regularly lift equipment weighing 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent professional experience

• Preferred certifications include Network+ and/or Security+

• 1–2 years of experience in a professional IT setting, ideally with exposure to security technologies

• Basic understanding of firewall policies, security standards, and network configurations

• Familiarity with the Linux command line for essential system administration

• Ability to follow detailed technical procedures accurately and consistently

• Willingness to work alternate shifts as necessary

• Capability to learn new technical concepts and remain updated on security technologies

• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures

• Ability to function effectively in a team-based environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure

• Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and management
