This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead and assist in the response to all security events and incidents across Twilio’s intricate global infrastructure, services, and applications.
• Take charge of documenting incidents and projects you engage in, and create best practices in the form of runbooks and standard operating procedures to disseminate knowledge across teams.
• Collaborate across teams to comprehend and address challenges related to a wide range of threat actors and activities.
• Strive to enhance Twilio’s security and reliability posture by implementing improvements identified from security events and incidents.
• Quickly acquire new technical skills and knowledge in a dynamic, highly disruptive industry environment.
• Manage the security incident lifecycle, respond to incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to root cause analyses (RCAs) for security incidents.
• Develop, nurture, and sustain positive relationships with internal customers to identify and facilitate solutions that amplify the impact of the team’s efforts.
• Provide mentorship, support, and guidance for the team, fostering long-term career development, satisfaction, and success at scale.
• Demonstrated experience: 3+ years in security incident response within a production-cloud environment.
• Expertise in security issues and technologies.
• Capability to leverage AI for thorough, complex security incident response activities delivering high fidelity detections.
• Advanced understanding of service-oriented architectures, along with experience using security tools and technologies suitable for a cloud environment.
• Experience tackling challenging security issues and initiatives across a technology stack.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms and the ability to enhance their functionality.
• Familiarity with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other major cloud platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence and cultivate effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
