This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

• Collaborate with Product and Platform Engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and address security risks.

• Execute security enhancements across our cloud platforms and engineering tools, including Azure, AWS, OCI, GitHub, and WAF technologies.

• Facilitate the implementation of security initiatives and roadmap objectives that fortify our platform and products.

• Track, assess, and report on security KPIs to promote continuous improvement.

• Support penetration testing, vulnerability management, security audits, and remediation tasks.

• Aid in maintaining our security risk register and assist teams in evaluating and managing security risks.

• Assist in integrating security into our CI/CD pipelines through automation and user-friendly tools.

• Mentor engineering teams on secure coding practices via documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

• Engage in threat modeling and security evaluations during the design of products and features.

• Remain informed about emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

• Background in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Platform Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Strong grasp of contemporary application and cloud security principles.

• Proficient in working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

• Familiarity with secure software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation techniques.

• Experience in identifying, evaluating, and rectifying security vulnerabilities.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for balancing security, risk, and business objectives.

• Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence engineering teams and foster a security-first culture.

• A proactive learning attitude and a drive to stay updated with evolving security threats and technologies.

• Experience with security tools such as GitHub Advanced Security, vulnerability management solutions, WAFs, or similar technologies is a plus.
