This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

• Collaborate with Product and Platform Engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and address security risks.

• Execute security enhancements across our cloud platforms and engineering tools, including Azure, AWS, OCI, GitHub, and WAF technologies.

• Assist in delivering security initiatives and roadmap objectives that enhance our platform and products.

• Track, evaluate, and report on security KPIs to promote continuous improvement.

• Aid in penetration testing, vulnerability management, security audits, and remediation efforts.

• Contribute to the upkeep of our security risk register and support teams in assessing and managing security risks.

• Facilitate the integration of security into our CI/CD pipelines through automation and developer-friendly tools.

• Guide engineering teams on secure coding practices through documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

• Engage in threat modeling and security assessments during the design of products and features.

• Remain informed about emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

• Experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Platform Engineering, or a comparable technical role.

• A solid understanding of contemporary application and cloud security principles.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

• Knowledge of secure software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation techniques.

• Experience in identifying, assessing, and addressing security vulnerabilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to balance security, risk, and business outcomes.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence engineering teams and foster a security-first culture.

• A mindset geared towards continuous learning and a passion for keeping up with evolving security threats and technologies.

• Experience with security tools such as GitHub Advanced Security, vulnerability management platforms, WAFs, or similar technologies is a plus.
