Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Monitor, prioritize, and facilitate the remediation of security vulnerabilities throughout the technology stack.

• Organize external security audits and penetration testing, ensuring all findings are addressed.

• Maintain and enhance our risk register, mapping all company services and prioritizing exposed elements.

• Assist with audit follow-up and ensure GRC documentation is current.

• Inform the team of new threats, document insights, and distribute security updates across the organization.

• Execute phishing simulations and provide security training (via Riot).

• Oversee the monitoring of security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, ensuring all inquiries are addressed.

• Set up and secure devices for new employees (MDM), managing access provisioning and deprovisioning processes.

• Stay vigilant regarding emerging attack techniques that target generative AI (prompt injection, jailbreaks, content filter bypass).

• Monitor security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in application security, including code review and vulnerability management.

• Experience in coordinating or executing penetration tests and security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and utilizing Git/GitHub workflows.

• Scripting and automation skills are essential.

• Bonus: Understanding of AI/LLM security concepts (prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial testing) — curiosity is valued more than extensive experience in this evolving field.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities (fluent in English).

• Goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
