Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Monitor, prioritize, and facilitate the remediation of security vulnerabilities throughout the stack.

• Organize external security audits and penetration assessments, ensuring follow-up on identified issues.

• Maintain and enhance our risk register, detailing all company services and prioritizing exposure levels.

• Assist with audit follow-up and ensure GRC documentation remains current.

• Inform the team of emerging threats, document discoveries, and disseminate security updates across the organization.

• Execute phishing simulations and conduct security training sessions (via Riot).

• Manage monitoring of security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, to ensure all concerns are addressed.

• Configure and secure devices for new employees (MDM), and oversee access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Stay updated on new attack strategies targeting generative AI (such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and content filter bypass).

• Monitor security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers that we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in application security, including code review and vulnerability management.

• Proficiency in coordinating or executing penetration tests and security audits.

• Comfortable with code deployment and familiar with Git/GitHub workflows.

• Skills in scripting and automation.

• Bonus: Knowledge of AI/LLM security concepts (such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and adversarial testing) — curiosity is valued more than extensive experience in this evolving field.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities (fluent in English).

• Goal-focused, demonstrating ownership and commitment.
