Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for safeguarding our product, users, and collaborators as we expand our rapidly growing AI dating platform.

• Engage directly in application security, risk & compliance, and security awareness, while monitoring AI-specific threats as our product line develops.

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Monitor, prioritize, and drive the remediation of security vulnerabilities across the entire stack.

• Organize external security audits and penetration tests, and ensure follow-up on findings.

• Maintain and enhance our risk register by mapping all company services and prioritizing exposure risks.

• Assist with audit follow-ups and ensure that GRC documentation is consistently updated.

• Inform the team about new threats, document findings, and disseminate security updates throughout the company.

• Oversee the monitoring of security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, to ensure all inquiries are addressed.

• Set up and secure new employee devices (MDM), managing access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Stay informed about emerging attack techniques targeting generative AI (such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and content filter bypass).

• Track security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers that we depend on.

• Strong experience in application security, including code review and vulnerability management.

• Experience in coordinating or conducting penetration tests and security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and working with Git/GitHub workflows.

• Skills in scripting and automation.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.

• Goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.

• A proactive mindset – we are moving quickly and need individuals who can balance execution, planning, and strategy.

• Humble and open to learning, with a willingness to accept feedback.
