Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Monitor, prioritize, and facilitate the resolution of security vulnerabilities throughout the stack.

• Organize external security audits and penetration tests, ensuring findings are addressed.

• Maintain and update our risk register by mapping all company services and prioritizing exposure.

• Assist with audit follow-ups and keep GRC documentation current.

• Inform the team about new threats, document discoveries, and disseminate security updates across the company.

• Execute phishing simulations and provide security training (via Riot).

• Oversee the monitoring of security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, to ensure all issues are addressed.

• Set up and secure devices for new employees (MDM), manage access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Stay informed about emerging attack techniques targeting generative AI (such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and content filter bypass).

• Monitor security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in application security (including code review and vulnerability management).

• Experience in coordinating or executing penetration tests and security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and using Git/GitHub workflows.

• Skills in scripting and automation.

• Bonus: familiarity with AI/LLM security concepts (such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and adversarial testing) — curiosity is valued in this evolving field more than extensive experience.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (fluent in English).

• Goal-oriented with a sense of ownership and dedication.
