Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Manage, prioritize, and facilitate the remediation of security vulnerabilities throughout the technology stack.

• Organize external security audits and penetration tests, ensuring all findings are addressed.

• Develop and maintain our risk register, mapping all company services and prioritizing exposure risks.

• Assist with audit follow-ups and ensure GRC documentation is current.

• Relay new threats to the team, document discoveries, and disseminate security updates throughout the company.

• Execute phishing simulations and provide security training (via Riot).

• Oversee the monitoring of security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, to ensure all issues are addressed.

• Configure and secure new employee devices (MDM), handling access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Monitor emerging attack techniques targeting generative AI (prompt injection, jailbreaks, content filter bypass).

• Track security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in application security (code review, vulnerability management).

• Background in coordinating or executing penetration tests/security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and utilizing Git/GitHub workflows.

• Skills in scripting and automation.

• Bonus: Knowledge of AI/LLM security concepts (prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial testing)—curiosity is valued more than extensive experience in this emerging field.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities (fluent in English).

• Goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.

• Proactive mindset—able to balance execution, planning, and strategy in a fast-paced environment.

• Humble and willing to learn, open to receiving feedback.
