Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Google Workspace administration, device management, and the lifecycle of SaaS access, which includes onboarding, offboarding, and conducting access reviews.

• Ensure compliance by addressing infrastructure-level test failures, enhancing Vanta with tailored tests, and automating the collection of evidence.

• Collaborate with internal teams to create secure solutions that align with company objectives.

• Manage vulnerabilities and endpoints throughout the corporate fleet.

• Develop processes for the secure and ethical use of AI in corporate settings to reduce instances of shadow AI/IT.

• Assess incoming security requests.

• Perform security evaluations of internal tools.

• Lead activities related to incident response.

• Undertake new security engineering initiatives.

• Work in close partnership with backend, firmware, and data engineers, as well as R&D and clinical teams, and the Head of Security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an AI-first mindset.

• Have 4+ years of experience in security and/or IT engineering.

• Experience working in a small team with a wide range of responsibilities.

• Familiarity with operating a SIEM tool such as Datadog Cloud SIEM, Panther, Splunk, Elastic, or similar.

• Background in Google Workspace administration.

• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM).

• Knowledge in identity lifecycle management.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python or a similar language.

• Strong skills in security writing and documentation.
