This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Integrate security within the software development lifecycle using automation, testing, and ongoing enhancements.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Create tools and automate processes using Python, Go, or Terraform to enhance security, boost developer productivity, and provide operational visibility.
• Assist with security assessments, compliance tasks, and ongoing monitoring efforts.
• Contribute to the establishment of security best practices across engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to embed security into development processes and build robust cloud-native systems.
• Over 3 years of engineering experience.
• Minimum of three years in a professional setting.
• Strong foundation in software engineering with experience in writing production-level code.
• Familiarity with application security, DevSecOps, or cloud security practices.
• Knowledge of secure software design principles, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and prevalent application vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency in at least one widely-used programming language and one infrastructure-as-code language.
• Experience in supporting security assessments, compliance, or continuous monitoring in regulated environments.
• Awareness of federal cloud and security regulations, such as FISMA.
• Proven experience in operating and analyzing systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
• Capability to work independently and adapt quickly in complex settings.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Current residency in the United States or its territories.
• Resided in the United States or its territories for three of the past five years.
• All work must be conducted while physically present in the United States or its territories.
