Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Administer and optimize Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM), including the creation of rules, development of use cases, and triaging incidents.

• Oversee and enhance the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch/ELK) for log ingestion, indexing, and security analytics.

• Configure, maintain, and resolve issues with enterprise firewalls, including rule management, policy hardening, and traffic analysis.

• Operate and refine EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solutions for threat detection and incident response.

• Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to ensure adherence to banking regulatory and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel (or equivalent SIEM).

• Strong working knowledge of the administration of Elastic/ELK Stack.

• Extensive experience in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).

• Practical experience with EDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne).

• Solid understanding of Linux administration.

• Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud security concepts (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Regularly utilize AI tools to enhance productivity, automate repetitive tasks, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality results.

• Ability to responsibly use AI tools by crafting effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of the final outcomes.
