Security Alarm Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and address application-related issues.

• Install, repair, and maintain integrated systems for intrusion, fire, video surveillance, networking, and VoIP.

• Set up and service security and video surveillance systems, wireless devices, and cabling.

• Install electronic components and cables, including tasks such as terminating, commissioning, and testing.

• Operate in the field employing efficient methods to resolve service challenges.

• Educate customers on systems provided by Interface.

• Maintain precise inventory levels through physical inventory counts.

• Verify and submit inventory documentation in line with company policies.

• Install and terminate network and security cabling.

• Execute firestopping for cable penetrations.

• Comply with and advocate for OSHA health and safety regulations.

• Engage with customer contacts regarding projects and service inquiries.

• Coordinate with vendors for each project.

• Interact directly with customers at the site level.

• Keep the assigned vehicle and tools in good condition.

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• A valid driver’s license.

• Proven field experience that can be verified.

• At least 2 years of demonstrated experience as a field technician in the electronic security sector.

• Capability to read and comprehend technical documentation and drawings.

• Knowledge of terminology related to telecom, data, security, and wireless systems installation and service.

• Familiarity with standard practices, engineering, and applicable safety standards in telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.

• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to pass relevant state and federal background checks to qualify as a registered security installer.

• Comfortable using small hand tools and power tools.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States of America.

• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Flexible schedule and willingness to travel overnight.

• Able to perform necessary physical tasks, which include climbing, working at heights with fall protection, and lifting loads.

• Vocational/Technical/Business School education is highly preferred.

• NICET Certification is advantageous.
