This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Set up and provide support for data ingestion from applications, infrastructure, cloud services, security tools, and business systems utilizing agents, APIs, webhooks, syslog, object storage, message queues, and native integrations.
• Create and sustain pipelines that collect, route, filter, enrich, transform, mask, aggregate, and deliver data to designated destinations.
• Execute parsing, field extraction, schema mapping, timestamp management, data-type conversion, and normalization for both structured and unstructured data.
• Ensure data completeness, consistency, accuracy, timeliness, and proper delivery while addressing issues related to malformed, duplicated, delayed, or missing data.
• Contribute to the development of reusable pipeline patterns, parsers, transformation logic, validation routines, data dictionaries, and implementation standards.
• Engage in data architecture evaluations and document source inventories, data flows, dependencies, ownership, quality concerns, and recommendations.
• Stay informed about data pipelines, analytics, log management, observability, cloud technologies, and emerging AI-enabled data solutions.
• Perform technical tasks across various client environments while managing delivery priorities, dependencies, and coordination with source systems.
• Report on data quality issues, technical risks, progress, and scope considerations to technical leads, project managers, and client stakeholders.
• Assist in regional delivery priorities and work alongside SecOps engineers when data pipelines support SIEM, detection, investigation, or automation needs.
• Two to five years of experience in data engineering, log management, observability, analytics engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience with at least one data pipeline, analytics, log management, or observability platform.
• Familiarity with onboarding data sources and resolving ingestion, transformation, processing, or delivery challenges.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, key-value data, syslog, or CEF.
• Knowledge of APIs, authentication, certificates, service accounts, network connectivity, and integration concepts.
• Basic scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or a comparable language.
• Understanding of SQL, platform-specific query languages, or data transformation languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional and military experience.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies, including AI tools.
• Primarily remote workforce (U.S. based only; some travel may be necessary for specific positions, and on-site work may be required for Federal roles).
