This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• The Secondary Market Analyst is an essential member of the Capital Markets and FP&A teams, contributing to pricing strategy, financial analysis, and lock desk operations.

• This role focuses on optimizing secondary marketing processes, improving transparency in capital market revenues, and providing internal stakeholders with actionable insights related to loan pricing, gain/loss reporting, and investor execution strategies.

• Responsible for maintaining and updating vital pricing and risk management tools, such as the Early Payoff (EPO) Matrix, Recast Matrix, and Lock Extension Matrix.

• Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for relocks and lock extension policies.

• Compile and analyze Capital Market revenue data, including hedge gain/loss, purchase advice, warehouse interest, investor fees, and other related revenue/expense items.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of capital markets financials and provide insights to executive leadership.

• Act as a liaison to the Lock Desk, ensuring that pricing, policy, and execution strategies are aligned.

• Provide backup support for concession approval processes, including escalation reviews and exception tracking.

• Collaborate with the Branch Operations and Sales teams to address pricing-related inquiries and clarify pricing strategies and outcomes.

• Assist in inventory breakdown and analysis of locked pipelines to guide pricing decisions and detect trends.

• Contribute to the improvement and documentation of virtual team processes, enhancing scalability and efficiency.

• Engage in regular reviews with branch leadership to foster financial transparency and forecasting.

• Conduct ad hoc and recurring financial analyses to support the FP&A team, including margin performance, revenue projections, and cost-benefit assessments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience as a financial analyst or in a comparable role, ideally within the mortgage industry.

• Strong grasp of financial reporting principles, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Excel.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.
