This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Oversee instructional programs
• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students to ensure each child effectively completes their instructional program
• Enhance the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous teaching
• Timely completion of grading, creation of progress reports, and conducting parent conferences
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and other educators to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, provide feedback on student assignments, suggest instructional strategies, monitor assignment completion, and guide special projects
• Acquire a general understanding of the entire K-12 curriculum and a detailed comprehension of the grades for which you are responsible
• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and offer additional support for daily assignments and projects
• Keep student records and data current, including online student and family information, attendance tracking, and logging all communications with students and parents
• Collaborate with team members and staff learning specialists to create alternative enrichment activities and modifications to enhance student understanding
• Develop and implement virtual methods to foster a “school community”
• Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing, as directed
• Engage in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives requiring teacher representation
• Attend field trips and community activities organized for families
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Certified to teach Secondary English in South Carolina (appropriate to grade level responsibilities)
• Must be a resident of South Carolina
• Gifted and Talented Endorsement is highly recommended
• Proficient technology skills (especially with MS Office programs and Google Suite)
• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written

• Willingness to travel occasionally for school and state testing events (may involve occasional overnight travel)
• Ability to work remotely, if necessary
