This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the testing strategy and execution for designated product areas, including API, backend, and integration layers.

• Create and uphold test plans that encompass functional, non-functional, and edge-case scenarios.

• Establish and monitor quality metrics, utilizing data to inform decisions regarding release readiness.

• Engage in design and architecture reviews to offer insights on testability and risk at the early stages of the development process.

• Develop, enhance, and sustain automation frameworks for testing at the API and service levels.

• Produce clean, production-ready test code using Java or Python.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality standards.

• Make decisions regarding test infrastructure.

• Actively utilize GenAI tools within daily testing processes.

• Assess and implement AI-assisted testing methodologies.

• Keep up to date with new AI advancements pertinent to SDET practices.

• Collaborate closely with product, business, and engineering teams.

• Perform comprehensive bug triage and root cause analysis (RCA).

• Provide mentorship to junior SDETs and QA engineers on optimal testing practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in software quality engineering.

• Proficient hands-on experience in test automation and framework design using Java and/or Python.

• Extensive experience in testing APIs and backend systems.

• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven ability to analyze complex issues effectively.

• Practical experience with GenAI tools in SDET/testing workflows.

• Solid understanding of various test design techniques.

• Experience with bug tracking, test planning, estimation, and release management processes.

• A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
