Scrum Master, Delivery Manager – Staff

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Drive agile execution across various modernization workstreams.

• Sustain delivery momentum and facilitate agile ceremonies.

• Manage dependencies and ensure visibility into progress against an expedited delivery timeline.

• Oversee sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across multiple workstreams.

• Monitor team velocity, burndown metrics, and overall delivery progress.

• Identify, escalate, and eliminate delivery impediments and blockers.

• Coordinate dependencies and transitions between workstreams and delivery teams.

• Observe schedule risks and promptly notify leadership of potential delays.

• Facilitate collaboration among technical teams, stakeholders, and program leadership.

• Maintain backlog hygiene, sprint boards, reporting dashboards, and delivery documentation.

• Ensure adherence to agile best practices and delivery governance consistently.

• Assist with planning activities for migration and modernization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or Agile Project Manager in software delivery organizations.

• Experience in managing multiple concurrent workstreams under tight delivery timelines.

• Strong skills in facilitation, stakeholder communication, and team coordination.

• Proven track record in managing dependencies, risks, and delivery reporting.

• Experience in supporting programs focused on migration, modernization, or transformation.

• Familiarity with migration-style backlogs, including wave planning, per-application delivery tracking, and per-object or work-item burndown management.

• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.

• Experience in supporting cloud migration, application modernization, or large-scale transformation initiatives is preferred.

• Strong proficiency with Jira and/or Azure DevOps is preferred.

• Experience working in multi-team or multi-pod delivery environments is preferred.
