This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Scrum Master for Agile teams engaged in VA healthcare modernization efforts.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning activities.

• Assist teams in embracing and continuously enhancing Agile principles, Scrum practices, and collaborative efforts.

• Support modernization projects that involve legacy VistA/MUMPS-based healthcare systems and enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to manage and prioritize product backlogs and delivery goals.

• Identify, monitor, and assist in eliminating obstacles that affect team performance and project delivery.

• Track team progress, sprint metrics, and delivery results to encourage ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Advocate for transparency, accountability, and effective communication among technical and business teams.

• Aid in coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, integration, and operations.

• Assist with release planning, dependency management, risk tracking, and stakeholder reporting tasks.

• Support Agile documentation and reporting processes using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team atmosphere aimed at delivering mission value and achieving modernization success.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in the role of Scrum Master for Agile software development or IT modernization projects.

• Profound understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.

• Proven experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional technical teams.

• Background in supporting enterprise IT, software development, or healthcare modernization efforts.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile project management and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Capability to handle competing priorities and facilitate delivery in fast-paced settings.
