This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as a driving force for agile transformation, promoting collaboration and fostering continuous improvement among development teams.
• Accountable for coaching teams on Scrum methodologies, eliminating obstacles, and nurturing a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote effective communication and ongoing process enhancements.
• Mentor team members and stakeholders in Agile and Scrum practices, cultivating a shared commitment to collaboration and ownership.
• Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving impediments and blockers that impact team efficiency and sprint progress.
• Collaborate with product owners to manage and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring alignment and clarity with business objectives.
• Track sprint metrics and team performance, offering data-driven insights and suggestions for optimization.
• Enable effective communication between development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to guarantee transparency and alignment.
• Aid team members in their professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and skill development initiatives.
• Tailor Agile processes to meet organizational requirements while upholding core Scrum principles.
• Conduct retrospectives and execute actionable enhancements based on team feedback and performance metrics.
• Maintain thorough documentation of sprint activities, metrics, and team progress for reporting and analysis.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a comparable Agile coaching capacity for at least 3 years.
• In-depth understanding of the Scrum framework, Agile methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Strong skills in facilitation and coaching, capable of guiding teams through intricate challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Proficient in sprint planning, backlog management, and release planning.
• Experience in conflict resolution and removing impediments within team environments.
• Demonstrated capability to analyze team performance metrics and promote continuous enhancement.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other scaling methodologies is preferred.
• Experience in software development or technology-driven environments is preferred.
• Understanding of Kanban or Lean principles is preferred.
• Experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams is preferred.
• Background in process improvement and organizational change management is preferred.
