Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Lead sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives.

• Ensure the maintenance of clear sprint boards, dashboards, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and delivery status reporting using Jira and DevOps/Azure DevOps.

• Mentor teams on Agile practices, including sprint goals, estimation techniques, story clarity, acceptance criteria, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Engineering Leads, Business Analysts, Test Leads, and stakeholders to keep work prioritized and prepared for delivery.

• Monitor blockers, risks, dependencies, and critical decisions, making sure they are escalated through appropriate delivery forums and addressed promptly.

• Assist with PI/release planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART alignment, and continuous improvement across distributed teams as necessary.

• Enhance story quality, estimation accuracy, backlog cleanliness, sprint predictability, and follow-up actions from retrospectives.

• Ensure that delivery reporting is transparent, evidence-based, and dependable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Scrum Master in technology delivery environments.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a comparable Agile delivery position, preferably within large-scale or enterprise settings.

• Proficient in Jira, including sprint boards, dashboards, work item tracking, and sprint reporting.

• Knowledge of DevOps/Azure DevOps.

• Strong grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Proven experience in enhancing backlog hygiene, story readiness, acceptance criteria, and sprint discipline.

• Capability to deliver clear, evidence-based status reports.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management.

• Experience working with distributed teams, including onshore/offshore delivery models.

• Comfortable engaging with UK stakeholders and working during UK hours.
