This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with field sales teams to provide education to key recommenders and promote recommendations, market share, and sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with specialty referral hospitals to enhance nutrition category sales within nearby general practices.
• Fortify strategic accounts through regional medical leadership connections and impactful events.
• Establish and cultivate a network of Key Opinion Leader Royal Canin advocates and potential speakers.
• Deliver Royal Canin nutrition education to veterinarians, technicians, and hospital personnel.
• Contribute to the growth of the veterinary business through collaboration and joint business planning.
• Act as a trusted technical resource, offering expert support and guidance.
• Represent Royal Canin as a spokesperson at veterinary conferences and events.
• Provide nutritional case consultations to veterinary partners and clients.
• Manage territory and regional coverage requirements, anticipating travel 3–4 days per week with one remote home-office day.
• Support field-based teams through local and air travel.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or VMD).
• Active veterinary license in at least one state.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a veterinary practitioner, which may include internships, co-ops, and/or residency.
• Preference for experience in small or companion animal practice.
• Outstanding scientific communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 75% within the assigned territory.
• Eligibility for a company vehicle.
• Flexibility to travel during evenings and weekends.
• Ability to manage travel arrangements independently.
• Must be willing and capable of traveling to meet role responsibilities.
• Must be able to work effectively from a home office when not traveling.
• Must be legally eligible to work without visa sponsorship; Mars does not sponsor visas for this role.
