This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the development of scientific relationships to enhance engagement within the strategic partner organization and promote participation in strategic research and development sessions aimed at identifying and advancing the scientific objectives of the partner site.
• Serve as a consultant to customer executive management and business partners regarding topics related to research and innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams that encompass scientific partnerships from various business sectors (e.g., MRI, CT, Advanced Therapies, Lab Diagnostics, Digital & Automation, etc.), centralized operations, local equipment service and sales, advisory service consultants, procurement, quality, and vendor partners.
• Represent Siemens Healthineers Research & Innovation at both potential and established strategic partner locations.
• Identify significant research and innovation topics relevant to the partner site that may also result in publications and/or extramural grant applications.
• Oversee Research & Innovation projects and processes across the comprehensive Siemens Healthineers spectrum (Lab, Imaging, Digital Health, Therapy & Health Economics).
• Coordinate with collaboration leads from other business lines.
• Engage subject matter experts from Siemens Healthineers as necessary.
• Collaborate with legal, research, compliance, clinical affairs, and logistics teams (both internally and across the strategic partner network) to formulate research agreements that outline the necessary equipment, funding, and deliverables for each research initiative.
• Conduct teaching lectures or courses at the strategic partner site, if applicable.
• Doctorate degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, Health Economics, Medicine, or Physics.
• Over 10 years of successful experience in medical research and innovation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Capability to convey complex scientific information to audiences ranging from laypeople to experts.
• Comfortable engaging with C-Level Executives and Government Officials.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a large team.
• Strategic thinking skills.
• Proficient in developing collaterals and talking points.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and be resourceful in identifying innovative applications, while crafting creative solutions to complex challenges.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, including short-term international trips.
