Scientific Director – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work in partnership with Dr. Neil Love and the RTP scientific team to create CME programs that focus on oncology and hematology subjects.

• Develop and implement CME program components, such as gap analysis, agendas, learning objectives, educational formats, and plans for outcomes.

• Ensure consistency with RTP’s style, tone, and scientific guidelines.

• Compose and evaluate educational materials for accuracy, impartiality, and compliance with ACCME standards.

• Oversee live programs, including the development and selection of faculty, interaction with faculty, creation of slide sets, educational development, assessment of outcomes, and CME information management.

• Assess data from evaluations and prepare presentations that summarize outcomes and insights for executive leadership.

• Supervise 1–2 junior-level scientific staff members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A higher-level scientific or clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or MS) is required.

• At least 3+ years of experience in medical communications, CME, or a related area, ideally with a focus on oncology.

• Proven expertise in clinical oncology and the ability to analyze complex clinical data.

• Experience in conducting needs assessments, creating learning objectives, and producing CME content.

• Strong knowledge of ACCME standards, FDA regulations, and the PhRMA Code.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities with careful attention to detail.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment with several ongoing projects.

• Willingness and capability to travel five times annually to major scientific conferences.
